ABOUT nadine
Hi, I’m Nadine Bahati, a Congolese model based in Salt Lake County, Utah. Growing up, I always admired models and dreamed of becoming one myself. But for a long time, that dream felt out of reach. The models I saw in magazines, on social media, and in advertisements didn’t look like me. I didn’t think I fit the mold because of my skin tone, height, and other perceived differences.
Over time, I realized that modeling isn’t about fitting a single, narrow standard—it’s about celebrating individuality, confidence, and diversity. Anyone can be a model, no matter their size, skin color, or background. That realization changed my perspective and gave me the courage to step into this world.
In 2020, after graduating high school during the height of the pandemic, I found myself in a unique position. I was starting college in the fall but had no plans for the summer, so I decided it was time to give modeling a go. I reached out to a friend who had taken my senior photos and was building her photography portfolio. We began collaborating, shooting twice a month.
Those photos became my introduction to the modeling world. I started sharing them on Instagram, and to my surprise, other photographers began reaching out to collaborate. This turned into something tangible, and in 2021, I was signed with my first agency, McCarty Talent Agency.
Modeling is more than just a career for me—it’s a form of self-expression, a platform to inspire others, and a way to celebrate the beauty of individuality. It’s about telling stories, connecting with people, and showcasing brands in a way that feels authentic and relatable. Whether it’s a high-fashion editorial, a commercial campaign, or user-generated content (UGC), I bring creativity, professionalism, and passion to every project.
